Like most automakers, Ford produces a great choice of trims for each of its models, and this is certainly the case with the 2024 Ford F-150, the best-selling vehicle in America. In fact, Ford offers nine different trims on this truck.

One of the newest features of the F-150 is the Pro Access tailgate, which can open as a swing gate in addition to lowering like normal; this provides easier access to your cargo, even while you have a trailer hitched to your truck, as the Pro Access tailgate has an internal mechanism that prevents it from swinging too far and hitting your trailer. This feature is available on all trims of the F-150, except for the base XL. Still, this is one more reason for you to look for a Ford F-150 for sale.

Ruge’s Ford is the place to go for the 2024 Ford F-150. We are an authorized Ford dealership, which means we feature the full Ford lineup of trucks and SUVs, including the F-150, so you can find the truck you want with the trim level and features you desire.

The F-150 XL

The base trim of the 2024 Ford F-150 is the XL, which comes equipped with a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 gas engine; it features a turbocharger, Auto Start-Stop Technology, and a ten-speed automatic transmission—the same transmission offered on all 2024 F-150s. The Auto Start-Stop Technology helps reduce fuel consumption by turning the engine off when you are stopped at a light and then automatically restarting it when you release pressure from the brake pedal. This V6 engine provides 325 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque.

Even though it is the entry-level trim of the F-150, the XL comes equipped with an amazing array of tech. Ford's Co-Pilot360 driver assistance suite comes standard, and it will help you avoid accidents when driving your truck. Ford has also made LED headlights a standard feature on the F-150 this year, even on the XL trim.

This trim also has the SYNC infotainment system with a 12.0-inch touchscreen—a standard feature on all 2024 F-150 trucks. You can pair your phones with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing you to make hands-free calls and texts. It also provides a 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot for up to ten devices, allowing you and your passengers to stay connected wherever you go. Ford includes a Class IV Trailer Hitch with the XL trim, so you can immediately use your truck for trailering.

The F-150 STX

The next trim up is the STX, which runs on the same engine as the XL, but Ford also offers a 5.0-liter “Coyote” V8 gas engine as an available option. This engine provides up to 400 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. You can also opt for 4x4 Electronic Shift-on-the-Fly if you choose an STX trim with available four-wheel drive; this will improve the on- and off-road traction of your truck. This trim also rides on a set of 20-inch dark gray machined aluminum wheels.

Ford has made a slight improvement to the SYNC infotainment system here. Unlike the XL, the STX’s capacitive touchscreen has swipe capability; this allows you to zoom in or out by pinching, and to move to other screens with the swipe of your finger, so it's generally easier to operate.

The F-150 XLT

The XLT adds more cosmetic, comfort, and convenience features to your F-150. It rides on a set of 18-inch chrome-like PVD wheels, and the chrome aesthetic is carried over to its shiny front and rear bumpers. As for performance, if you are concerned about fuel economy, you can opt for the turbocharged 3.5-liter PowerBoost V6 hybrid engine on this trim.

This is a full hybrid, meaning that it combines a gas engine with a pair of electric motors powered by a lithium-ion battery pack. At lower speeds, the gas engine runs a generator to keep the battery pack charged. This hybrid powertrain delivers 430 hp and 570 lb-ft of torque while giving you an impressive 23 MPG combined in four-wheel drive.

Technology is the name of the game with the XLT. This trim has a 360-degree camera, allowing you to see all angles around your truck; this is especially helpful when trailering as you can make up for the many blind spots created by your trailer. It also has Pro Trailer Hitch Assist and Pro Trailer Backup Assist, making hitching to a trailer safer and easier.

The XLT also features BlueCruise, Ford’s hands-free autonomous driving system. When you are on a connected highway, this feature will work with the Co-Pilot360 system to allow you to drive hands-free, reducing driver fatigue. If you opt for the hybrid powertrain on your F-150 XLT, you will also get a 2.4-kW Pro Power Onboard for your cargo box, allowing you to use your payload bed as a workstation at job sites.

The F-150 Tremor

If you are into off-roading, then the Tremor could be the trim for you. It comes with standard 4x4 Electronic Shift-on-the-Fly, as well as Selectable Drive Modes, so you can set your drivetrain to take on whatever terrain you are encountering on the trail.

The Tremor rides on a set of 18-inch dark matte finish alloy wheels wrapped with 33-inch all-terrain tires; this will give you the traction you need when out on the trail. It also has a set of skid plates to protect the undercarriage of your truck from rocks, logs, and other debris. There is also a unique Trail Control feature with Trail 1-Pedal Drive and Trail Turn Assist; these will make it easier to ride the countryside as you won’t need to keep moving your foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator.

If you want to push this trim to the limit, you can opt for a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine; it comes equipped with a turbocharger, giving you 400 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque.

The F-150 Lariat

As one of three luxury trims of the F-150, the Lariat rides on a set of 20-inch chrome-like PVD wheels and comes with a SYNC 4 system with Enhanced Voice Recognition on a 12.0-inch LCD display. The latter allows you to work the SYNC system without taking your hands off of the steering wheel. This trim also has Adaptive Cruise Control, which will adjust your speed to slower traffic when using cruise control. You also get the BlueCruise feature, as well as Intelligent Access with Push-Button Start, which will let you access your truck using only your key fob.

Ford offers a number of different options on this trim. This includes the 3.5-liter PowerBoost hybrid engine, an advanced Bang & Olufsen sound system, and a 7.2-kW Pro Power Onboard for your payload bed.

The F-150 King Ranch

The F-150 King Ranch is a specialized truck with a Western theme. The interior has leather-trimmed seats, with the front bucket ones heated and ventilated; the steering wheel is also leather-wrapped. There is also a head-up display, allowing you to view important information without taking your eyes off the road. Ford completes the interior of the King Ranch with a fourteen-speaker B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen, one of the leading audio system brands.

This trim rides on a set of 20-inch chrome-like PVD wheels with a unique King Ranch center cap. The LED projector lamps on the King Ranch are Dynamic Bending Headlamps that will guide you through turns. The King Ranch is equipped with the turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, although drivers can opt for the PowerBoost hybrid powertrain. Ford BlueCruise comes standard as well.

The F-150 Platinum

The F-150 Platinum rides on a set of 20-inch gloss black wheels and is equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, though drivers can also opt for the hybrid PowerBoost. Likewise, the Platinum has Ford's BlueCruise, the B&O Sound System, and LED Projector Lights with Dynamic Bending Headlamps. Ford includes the 2.4-kW Pro Power Onboard, though you can opt for a Platinum Plus with the 7.2-kW power port. The interior has unique multi-contour seats with Active Motion leather seating, which not only looks great but provides a great deal of comfort.

The F-150 Raptor

The Raptor is another of Ford’s exceptional off-road trims. It rides on a set of 17-inch cast aluminum wheels wrapped with 35-inch all-terrain tires, and it has a specialized off-road suspension featuring sport-tuned shock absorbers. The drivetrain is a 4x4 with a Hi-Lock Transfer Case designed to transfer the right amount of power to each wheel.

Ford has equipped the Raptor with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost High Output V6 engine that delivers 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque, and heavy-duty skid plates shield this trim's undercarriage. Ford has given the F-150 Raptor such standard features as Ford Trail Control, a head-up display, and the SYNC 4 with Enhanced Voice Recognition.

The F-150 Raptor R

If the Raptor trim isn’t enough for you, Ford presents the 2024 F-150 Raptor R, the ultimate in off-road trucking. The Raptor R features a massive, supercharged 5.2-liter High Output V8 that is capable of 700 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque. In addition to the features of the Raptor, this trim adds a set of FOX Dual-Live Valve Shocks to give you the suspension you need when taking on the most difficult trails.
